    Smile Hey Gringo/Gringa

I was checking out your blog today and saw the island covered with chit! And they say humans are destroying the planet??? What a crock of CHIT! I can tell you that birds crap on more stuff than anything I know. Just have a couple of pigeons move into your deck girders or anything that hangs out over your home. Geese forget about it! It looks like a dog went insane in your yard! Don't even get me started on Sea Gulls. At least we as humans have the decency to properly dispose of our waste. We spend trillions on "waste water treatment" and these animals get away with crapping all over our "pristine wetlands"

Soooo I am going on an all out assault on the environmental asassin's of the avian nature this winter. No bird is safe! If it legal I am going after it. If it is not I am going to sue it! Look out here I come!

This cracked me up when I read it. You are also correct about this happing. When I go to Harkers Island to work, each day I have to pass by an Island that we "lovingly call" Pelican $hit Island. There is another one or 2 in the Cape Fear river. This time of year when crossing over the bridge at Wrightsville Beach there is a white streak of Cormorant crap 3' wide form where they roost on the power lines at night...
Where ever you look it can be found, but I have never heard an environmentalists say one thing about it...
    MirrOlure when big fish count!

Yeah, that rock is in the Sea of Cortez. I didn't feel any great big desire to go climb it, I can tell you that.

That's not in the TCI. I haven't seen any rocks like that here. Nor layers of birdy poop, either, come to think of it. Maybe on some of the buoys, but there are very few buoys here anyhow. The TCI is not real big on navigational aids. You really need to know the waters here, no nanny government to tell you where all the rocks and reefs are.

I think the single biggest aid to navigation in the TCI would be a set of polarized sunglasses.

So, what did you think of the blog? Other than the birdshit rock I mean...

I think the situation in Baja is that they only get a few inches of rain a year. It doesn't wash off the rest of the time. It accumulates, like in those photos.

We don't have that here. All in all, I like the ocean here way better than Baja California. It was neat to spend a week there looking around, but we were sure glad to get back to our little island home on this side, I'll tell ya.

The picture with the aircraft, did you hear anything after you saw what you see in the picture? It almost looks like an aircraft hitting the sound barrier by the looks of the white area.

    Nice blog by the way!

no, there's nothing in this country that can break the sound barrier. And we didn't hear a thing. I didn't even notice that spot until I was cropping the photos to stick em on the blog.

Call the authorities? WHAT authorities? Ha ha ha ha ha ha....you got me to laughing pretty good with that one.

To understand, for example, why that is funny...consider that the International Airport here does not have a radar.

The police have a radar, or they did three years ago. One radar. I am not aware that they ever caught a speeder with it.

The authority on Middle Caicos is named Brody. He's pretty cool.

Thats Brody, the authority on Middle Caicos, on the right. TRYING to look serious for some silly reason. But we all were.

Now, as to calling him, well...not sure what I would actually tell him. Or what he would do with that information.

Authorities? We don't needs no steenkin' authorities!
