Todays trip we poked a single sail and a couple dolphin. One was a pretty good fish of just short of 20lbs. Square head so its a bull... right? Open it and it has both milt and roe.
I see some of these odd balls usually late spring or summer here but rarely at this time of year and can't recall seeing them elsewhere at all. Was wondering if any of you have seen them where you live.
Not real common but more common than say a doe with antlers...
Groupers are born male then switch to female later in life. But usually a square headed dolphin is strictly male... Any input?

Wow extraordinary find deep c. What color lure did she/he bite on? I saw a rabbit with antlers once. The fellow called it a jack o lope. He said is was easily hunted though. They are fast and blend well with surroundings, but whine all the time and easy to find in a thicket
