Help from the rod builders

I just ordered a complete rod kit and tool kit from Mudhole Tackle. I was wondering if any of you that live in the central MD area are in the process of building a rod. The reason I ask is that I would like to see first hand some of the steps into how this is done. There is only so much you can learn from a book or DVD. Paul's club is holding upcoming classes in PA. A couple hours of seeing how it is done will be well worth it in the long run

Are there specific questions that you have? I build a few rods a year for myslef and would be happy to help if I can. Otherwise, that class that Paul puts on would probably be perfect.

my # 6am-230 most days 6105917734...you do have to watch with alot of the "kits" they might be a guide short of what you actually need. we teach the guys to usually order a extra guide..because when you do the static test sometimes you need 1 or 2 more guides.. feel free to call for help..or if you want to take a ride you can learn here..we can do the finish or any help you need..

Paul, when's your next class? As long as it does not fall on a day when I am working the local boat shows I'd love to come to a class.

Will do. I will be off work for almost 2 weeks so hopefully I can get up there at some point.
