Guys I feel like such an asshole my dad's at work and I was playing with his spare handcuffs. HE HAS THE KEY. Good thing I realized that before I got my second hand in. He wont be home until 5 tonight. Any ideas on how I can unlock them. I think I tried everything. Well, good for a few laughs, anyway I guess. BTW, it's hard to type like this.

Thats funny....I remember a cop friend of mine was going out of town. My truck was in the shop and I needed to take care of some things... I borrowed his truck. he had the handcuffs over the shifter. well.......Im sitting at the traffic light and was tapping them on the steering wheel...CLICK!!! Oh NO!! This is the funniest thing I've heard in a long time. So I guess it isn't like the movies where you can stick a paper clip in 'em and jimmy it around for a while until you hear a "click".

You should have some fun with it though- go walk around the mall in an orange jumpsuit and see what happens....or you could drive through a drive through acting all hurried and scared and looking over your shoulder a lot and saying "hurry, hurry"... or go to a used car lot and say "I need a car fast"....

Get a piece of single strand 12 gauge wire. Like for running electricity. Not Braided but solid like Monel. Get about a 6 inch piece and strip the insulation off. Fold it in half. Stick the open end into the keyhole. Makae sure that the wire is at the top and bottom of the key hole. You should be able to press on the wire and "pop" it off.
