Help,need some advice please.

I have a lifelong friend who has been fighting ****** and meth addiction for the past 3.5 years.She has been to rapid detox 3 times,been kept away from home for several months after each detox.We have relocated her 1200 miles away,every time she ends up back wit the same guy and screwed up again.lots of money and time and nerves have gone into trying to save her.She is screwed up again.What else is there to do?Just let her OD?

report them constantly to the authorities and their em[ployers, tell them to stay away from her with a very strong fist and foot used as persuasion, and convince her to sign a restraining order against the guy. hell, take her on the boat with ya and babysit her from port to port so there is no opportunity for her to screw up for a while. maybe after she sees life has more to offer then maybe she will change her ways.

Had her on the boat for 8 months last year.Looks like I'm going to have to do it again.my fiance is not a big fan of that though.

Mr. Blackwell. First my sympothies for what you have had to deal will. Second, you have just found a person that has great respect for a man that will care on and on for someone else that cannot help themself. I have been in your shoes--- nuff said.

There comes a time when you just have to let go. I know more than anyone how hard it is, but you cannot ruin your life and happyness for someone that cannot help themself. This is not meant to be mean or cruel to that person you love--- quite the contrary. There comes a time when YOU have to just let go and accept the fact that neither you nor anyone else can help this person, if they cnnot help themself. You don't have to give up hope, but there comes a time when you have to let someone go from your life and/or emotions.

I wish you and this person the best, but you cannot help those that cannot help themselves.
