    help with line

I am looking for some suggestions on what type of line I should fill my tld 25's with. Should I use a regular mono or a hi-test or hi-catch with a lower diameter. I am going to use these mainly for stripers and for offshore fishing for dolphin, kings, wahoo, small to medium sized tuna, and if lucky smaller billfish.

I fish for the same things you do out of the same area. I used to use 40lb test mono, but have recently changed back to 30 lb test and like it a little bit better. For the most part you're using pretty light drag on those reels and I like the 30 lb and the extra line capacity if a tuna or something takes a long run.
    Tight lines to you.

I personally like braid. The only poles the have mono on are my shallow water fluken poles, less the 15' of water. I would use the Stren braid in 50# with a 4' leader IMHO.

And people wonder why car salesman have a bad reputation for shit for brains--- I said 50 narrows--- not every reel in your arsenal.

any decent quality 30 mono will serve you well on a TLD 25. I happen to like Sufix, cause it's good and relatively cheap.

We were just in Cabo fishing and were using TLD 25 's with 30 lb yellow Momoi mono. Very strong and slick and the hi vis yellow was nice. In three days we caught 22 of 35 Striped Marlin that we hooked. Also caught four small Makos. You can catch nearly anything in the ocean with that set up, unless you are chasing big tuna. Then you need a bigger reel and braid. If you are bottom fishing, the braid will be much thinner and has no stretch. That lets you feel the bites better and the smaller diameter will let you find the bottom with less weight.
