i like braid and i have 50 powerpro on two tld 25s and they are great little sticks. dont use them offshore, but they work great inshore...

I have fished TLDs with 50 lb test mono and have worn them out. I used them on my downriggers with heavy drag settings I dont think that the drags and gears are designed to work well with that heavy a drag. I have since switched to the TLD 50 LRS 2 speed for my downrigggers and that works great. If you just use the 50 lb braid because you want more capacity but fish it like 30, then you'd be fine
