Bill, i have been to iceland. Not sure of the weather in october. I was there in january. Our hockey team went to Sweeden for an international tournament and we had a stop over in iceland. All i can tell you is the airport is cool and the flight sucks, but we had the whole plan to ourselves so we could spread out. I have heard that it is absolutely beautiful there. HOpe you have fun.

Wahoo you don't have to warn me about the shark - It took every ounce of restraint to not fall into his trap and head to Atlantic City the night before our OverUnder Charter. OHHHH you should have heard him. He played the "lets get out and party" Card, the "I should have known the old man can't party" Card. I just stayed in my bunk and pretended I was asleep.

I spent a day in Iceland in early October. It was a stop on a transatlantic cruise. The temperatures were mild.- just needed alight jacket. The country is beautiful. We did the golden circle tour which includes the geysers and the continental divide. I don't know abouut fishing. the countryy lives on fish but I think it is mostly bottom fishing. I did read an article about the fishing for artic sharks.
