Help Build a New Part of Sportfishermen.com

In the near future we'll be starting up a new part of Sportfishermen.com with the launch of an editorial section full of articles, reviews, tips and anything else you could ask for. As we're getting this together we want to encourage anyone who's interested in contributing to get in touch with me. Admin is letting me develop this new area and there are many stories and many great fishermen here already, I want you to be a part as well. This will be a whole new format with full blown article layouts along with stunning graphics and video, it's a chance to see your work read round the world and it's part of an already great site. Don't be discouraged if you've never written before, you have to start some time and when you write about something like fishing for which you have a passion, the words just flow. Give it a shot and you might be surprised, most of the captains and authors you read in any magazine have often felt the same. We'll have Features, Regional Stuff, How-to, Boat and Product Reviews, and more so there's a place for lots of people to get involved and help continue to build an already great site.

Keep an eye out for the new section and if you want to be part of it then email me or send me a PM, we'd love to have you as part of the team. And if there are questions or topics you'd like to see answered by some of the best in the business, feel free to hit me up.

Thanks Paul, it's going to be a new chapter in what people expect from fishing media and I'm stoked that Admin has given me this chance to do it as part of such a great site. I've gotten great responses from the members already in just a few hours and it's things like that which make this such an awesome place.

Thanks to everyone that has already asked to be part of the team. For everyone else, don't hold back. Young or old, new to the game or an old salt, this is a place where virtually anyone can contribute so give me a shout.

I asked for this site to be built in a couple of my posts and I would like to mention again that there is a need for a glossary of terms that is used in the posts that us novices don't understand. The offshore lingo is confusing to a newcomer to sportfishing and it would be great to be able to go to a glossary to understand just what is meant.

In this new section you mention reviews. Is that like reviews of fishing destinations and or charters in other places as well as accurate fishing reports. Having fished in several countries in Central America we have been lucky for the most part in boats and fish although a couple of times i was disappointed because the captian and crew did not know what they were doing. Look forward to seeing what the new section is going to be

Robja, I'm working on having all kinds of reviews. Products, boats, electronics, you name it and travel articles and reviews are definitely going to have a home in the new section.
