    Hello, heading to St. Thomas

Hello. I am heading to St. Thomas for a while to thaw out and I am dieing to try some fishing from shore. I plan on taking a charter a few times while I am there for something bigger though. I am new to the warm saltwater fishing so I joined here hoping I may be able to pick up some tips and tricks. I have been looking to see what type of fish to target while in St. Thomas but as always I would like to hear from anyone who has any experience with this part of the caribbean. I have enjoyed reading the stories and looking at the pictures of the many members fish and fishing trips. Thanks for a good forum and thanks for everyone who has made it an enjoyable place to learn and read. I would be happy to give advice to anyone who is headed to Alaska in the future for advice where to go and fish with. If anyone in St. Thomas replies to this...I may be bringing smoked salmon and some salmon fillets from last summer to throw on the barbeque.

    WOW

I can't believe it, by the looks of the responses on this and other forums I have asked about St. Thomas fishing, you would think it is an uninhabited island that not a single sole has ever stepped foot on. I find it hard to believe not one individual knows anything about fishing there. thanks
