Hello Dolly...

I know its not fishing related, but, Ms. Dolly is just outside of 300nm. We are on the East side of her expected track (dangerous side). As of rite now, it is still rather nice outside, few clouds and 10knts wind from the east. A few squall lines out to the west around 40nm.

Board member Marc (Stripah) is sitting about 7 and a half miles to the Northeast of me. Drilling operations are continuing on my rig, but if Dolly makes a turn to the North or East, things might change.

Well, its still dry here, the line of squalls to the Northwest kinda fizzled out. Few bands to the SSE but nothing has moved closer than 75nm.

The wind machine kicked on a little after 2pm, winds are a steady 25kts at the moment from the ESE.

Definitely cloudier than it was before.

So we just made a heading change of about 120 degrees to try and keep the bow into the building seas. Nothing major rite now. Updated weather reports are saying 37kt winds, with occasional gusts up to 60kts. We aren't inline for a full ass whipping I guess...

Hell, if the winds stay below 25kts by the time I get off work tonite, I might even go attempt to pop "the bubble" for a bit.

As for when I get off here Mr. Duffy, that date is August the 4th.

Winds have dropped off to 10 kts.

The Weather Channel is crackin me up tonite. They pointed out my rig and the 6 others in this same area and said they were all evacuated because the conditions were so bad. Hopefully Im not jumpin the gun. Dont want to give the wrong impression, I dont want it to be bad for anyone, anyone except me. I need a little excitement damn it!
