    Hello from Chesapeake

Just wanted to introduce myself. I just purchased a 1974 Trojan F-32 Sportfisher project boat (money pit) and I'm sure im gonna find a lot of advice on this board useful. I know I've got quite a project ahead of me. Every nook and cranny sems to need work on this boat. But she's complete and should be in running condition. I got it for a little over 1k. Good deal or bad deal? I've attached pictures of the boat. Also can anyone here help me identify the outriggers? The only thing I really know about them is they look to be 25' or longer.

you have your hands full here there is a lot of rust down below and you will
always have this problem with the teak decks if you ever redo the engines
cover them with 20 mill plastic when not in use so the water runs off, start
sanding that hull and bridge and awl grip her and thoses outriggers double spreaders rupps oh ane that hull is a ray hut design good luck a lot of work
    ahead

That was a great buy for a Trojan, It is a very strong hull.
There is a Trojan boat site that can help you get information on the internet.
We love our Trojan boat. It is a great boat.
Do you have drippless seals on the shafts? Looks like you don't. I think that is where part of the rust is coming form. I don't know about the teak decks causing it but I imagine they can let water through. I found on a dripping packing it can sling water every where and cause rust.
If the engines are in good shape I don't think it will take you to long to get it up and running. Lots of ebow grease and tender care will make it look great. Good luck and hope it makes your dreams come true.
