heart attack at 52 years old (me)
Wednesday morning got up like anyother day and started to get ready for work . After i got dressed and sat down to wate on the phone call i get every morning to tell me that my buddy is on his way to pick me up there was a small pain in my arm . and i though no not this not now please. But yes it was as the pain got more painfull and started to move and get larger in my chest i though it was a good time to call 911 . after a wile the paramedics showed up by this time i am on the porch . they pulled up ( i live in a row home ) and looked at me and said are you the one having the heart attack and i said yes they just gave me a strange look then i said do you want me to come down there to you ( they did not look like they were in as much as rush as i was ) they said yes so i went down to them about 15 steps . they asked me agan if i was having a heart attack and why i though i was and i told them they still gave me a strange look agan . So he asked me get in truck and i did with no help from them he listend to my heart frount and back that was all did not hook me up to anything then he said to me why do you think you are having a heart attack and i tolld him he said that it was a muscular pull not a heart attack the other paramedic said she new i was not having a heart attack when came down the steps like that .So i got out of the truck looked at my girl and said take me to north arundel hospital got there was treated like a king .One artery 100% blocked had the heart surgery done was in my room by 11:00 am it is now sat and i am home and i feel great plan on going to diner tonight and life is good . p.s. monday i will be making some phone calls some one is going to get fired if i have any thing to do with it ![]()

Had heart failure at 35 but things were reveresed. I was at doctor for just not feeling right. He told me and I told him he was nuts. Showed me on the ekg where the issue was on it. Pleurisy had loaded up the pressure right on the muscle once it was relieved the function came back 100 %... I got lucky.
Glad you got through yours with relative ease. Yes, barbeque the pms... Not their place to make that call in the field... |

It's ridiculous that any para medic would allow you to walk down 15 steps if you had any kind of chest pain or pain in your left arm. They deserve to be replaced or at the least retrained. Even a hospital ER won't take that set of symptoms lightly . They would want to be sure first.
