good to hear that all worked out ok health wise. heart problems run in my family, worries me a good bit. but cant go around being scared all the time i suppose.

as for the pms/ems , to have someone walk 15 steps and get into a truck themselves that thinks they are having a heart attack is utter bs. hell, they're already out there, they mide as well HELP YA IN THE DANG TRUCK!

roast their arse!

Glad to hear your doing okay. And sorry to hear about the medics story. I work as a firefighter and we run calls like yours all the time. We do fire and EMS. Medics are almost like dr's on wheels and that is terrible how they treated you. IF anything, IF ANYTHING they should have brought you to the ER to get checked out. There are also a lot of medical calls that people are over reacting, but that is NO excuse for them not to transport you to the hospital. It just makes me mad hearing that story because I see and hear about it way to much!

But Im glad you use your own judgment and went to the ER. Because only YOU know how YOU feel. Like I said, I'm glad your ok and doing well...

basically...

I am also a Leuit. FF/EMT and they would not work for Me if this was My crew. It sounds as if You may have a case of patient abandonment. Medics or EMT's are bound by laws that require them to treat once They have made patient contact. Did they perform thier own assesment or take a set of vitals? Did they do a 12 lead EKG? Your B/P and most likely Your PulseOx level (the amount of O2 profused into Your blood by the heart) along with the symptoms You described to them would have indicated a cardiac event was eminent. Glad to hear it all worked out. Take care and enjoy Your health!
