Water is still a little cold but it won't be long. Any report on a location of the blues? We may go on a bait hunt next weekend.
Yes blues is why makos are there but they need temp too in order to balance their caloric intake... Water between point and B is about 15 degrees light on permiting the makos to get to the blues unless they slid up from way insde and behind. It'll be a while. A degree a day is what we need now...
the threshers are here out of vb right now. I have a first hand reports of a couple being hooked way inshore... 3 miles off the beach. None landed, but reliable reports.
I was out at the Jackspot two weeks ago. There were no bluefish. There were some at the Bass Grounds. Definitely not "thick" by any stretch of the imagination.
The Blues are thick in New Jersey.
I passed a fish store on my way in to work tonight and there was a sign in front MAKO steaks $4.00lb.
I had a 60 to 70 lb Thresher on just off Sandbridge we were about 4 Miles off the Beach in 62 Degree Water.Jake,Im glad you think of me as a reliable source, lol.
