    Headed Back

To Nassau... Fix a couple things. Slap some shiny on anything less than perfect... Then?

Having a hard time getting motivated this morn. Oh I mean I have the base motivation of having a great job, hell a dream job, the motivation of keeping the boat right and family fed but lacking that "hell yeah lets go" that I usually have.
I try to put a finger on it. Its tough to nail down. I should be bouncing off the walls excited that I'm not getting sentenced to five months in Jersey, still tough getting fired up. The mind races to find a reason. Then there it is. Kinda boils down to something like I get in Jersey. No real plan. My life revolves around plans. I live months in the future most of the time. Now I know the issue. Whats the fix?
I guess I gotta come up with some kind of plans. I have a few ideas that might work. Slip in a couple more rounds at Chub. Maybe do a leg of the BBC. Hell possibly do a few days behind Bimini looking for giant bluefins.
Maybe you guys have some ideas. Mind you the owner likes visual on top stuff. Doesn't want to bottom fish. The high speed wahoo thing does nothing for him. So how can we spice up some plain old trolling. Bring it to a new level of fun. I'd love to hear some ideas...

Try and track down one of those stud makos you see in the pocket from time to time......research line class records and start knocking them off one by one....gotta be a great place to do it.

Now thats something that just could work. Never line class. Just pitching to and releasing one of those pigs might be a pickle tickler... We saw three of them so far this year. Not the granders but 600-700 class fish that would still be lots of fun.

There has got to be plenty of species to chase a light tackle line class record for....didnt the boss man want a sail or white on 4lb?

We're in the hunt for white on six. Hell we didn't even see a white this last go around until we left and started to troll to nassau...
Strange year in the pocket for sure. Cold winter most likely had something to do with it. Cold water 73.? up to perhaps 75 while we were there. Atlantic side still cold. You "can" catch fish in it but they are pretty lethargic and scarce... The pocket seems to have warmed a bit and hopefully it will turn really on finally.

If you can get him a permit bigger than 41 lbs on 4 lb test he would be in the books.....too bad the previous record was 29 lbs....gotta be some big permit swimming around down there.
