HDMI Cables
Is there a difference between the super expensive ones and the cheap ones?
Monster cables at best buy are like 70 bucks, but I can find non name brand cables on the net for like 10. I'm using one of those from my cable box to my HDTV right now, but I got a home entertainment receiver for christmas and want to have the best connections I can get for reasonable cost. I don't mind paying for premium cables, but if I don't need them i'm going with the cheaper ones.

killing stuff cause it feels good
When I first bought my blu ray I had a 25 dollar cable and the signal would always cut out. I bought 65 dollar one at radio shack and it works perfectly.
I would spend the extra couple of bucks.

Kim Kamondo says not to get the top of the line cables or the el cheepos either. You should be fine with the ones in the middle price line.

Go through Monoprice .com. You can have a live chat with a tech and they will help with any questions. I have bought all my HDMI cables through them and they work great.
