Has anyone been here yet? I was thinking about going on Monday and was wondering if it is worth the 4 hour drive from Cape May? I have heard it is hudge.

Bobby, I have worked a booth there 4 years running. The show is enormous and I would say worth the drive if you have never experienced it. Since you like hunting and fishing you should be very entertained.

Thanks Im going to go Monday. Im trying to convince myself I dont need anymore hunting and fishing stuff so there is no need to go. But then I think of all the stuff that I dont need but should have because I have a space for it somewhere.

On the weekends it is really crowded (too crowded ), but monday might be good.

Just got back a couple hours ago.

Great show, ive been going for a couple years now. Lots and lots of stuff. Its tuff to cover it all, and usually i will miss a portion, and just go spend a hour or so at the Bass pro shop.

The fishing department is a little week for saltwater, especially offshore stuff. But plenty of hunting gizmos to buy.

I spent 500 dead presidents today. Came out with half a dozen full body honkres, half a dozen full body mallards, a sick jeff foiles ducky call, and two sick goose calls.

The waterfowl selection seems to be much lower then previos years, with only abotu 5 booths selling "good" duck and goose calls. But thats just my opinion.

Pitch- I've been up during the week the last few years. Normally to say hi to a few outfitters I know and see some toys. It's a cool place to see at least once, and let's be honest. FEB SUCKS.

No Dave. I worked it up till 2006. Did not work there last year either but the four years prior to that I was there for the whole show each year. By the end of the week you will want earplugs from listening to all the different game call salesman going full blow at the same time.
