Most sawyer's in my area do a 50/50 deal. They take half of the total volume of wood in exchange for the sawing. However, first all the trees need to be felled and processed and the logs decked up where the sawing will take place. That is if it's a portable saw mill. If the logs have to be trucked to a mill, that's a whole other thing, as you will likely need permits, and a timber mark or log stamp. Around here, if you want flooring, then after the wood is cut into boards, it's taken to another mill where it's kiln dried, tongue & grooved, and sanded. Sometimes those guys will do a 50/50 deal as well, if you have lots of wood.
