Thumbs up Hard to beat Harbor View Deck after fishing!!!

Harbor View, Cape May/Ocean Drive....their deck is simply amazing! My bro and I go there pretty often through out the year, my buddy Bill is the Exec Chef there, we worked together at teh Ebbitt Room for a few years before he jumped ship and went over there when it first opened.

That deck get's better each year...it's the overall experiance/being on the water, hearing the water, seeing the boats...drinking some beers of course! We went fishing yesterday only found a few small flatties, so we decided to head it since the wind was against the tide towards the end of the day....cleaned the boat up...went over for some grub.

The breeze from the water was great! The beers were cold! What more could you ask for?

I know their food isn't the best out there, but for what it is, it's hard to beat it around here. Location is key!!! Lobster House Schooner....ehh I will break the Cardinal Rule here and say I don't like the LH and I think it's the most overrated tourist trap next to Disney...but it's only my opinion...who really cares

Lucky Bones has their pizza...but they don't have Harbor Views Deck...when a band is out there...forget it!!

I was just living up my last 2 days off of the summer and couldn't find a better place to do so....now onto the fun 70+hour work week in 115degree kitchen....6 days a week.... COme on September/Eagles!!!!!!

How did you do in your flattie adventure?

Yeah, can't argue ...harbor view does rock!! After ordering 3 beers I opted for a pina colada...then the bar tender called me out as being a wuss...I just said "please make my drink wuss I might be but can't argue with a colada or margarita after a nice sun burn day!!!!"

Flatties....well they did better than we did I landed a few "monsters" at abuot 12 inches...then a 14 inch guy... so we didn't do to well...but from the sounds of it they might already have moved out to the inlets by now...

Harbor view is good... there dinners in are really good to... but that is not the only good place in Cape May there are a ton of awesome restaurants, which is one reason i like it so much.

Oh no doubt mllacosta...I'm the Chef of The Ebbitt Room @ The Virginia Hotel, don't get me wrong, I love fine food and wine....but you can't beat the deck at The Harbor View...that's all I'm saying...they could be serving hot dogs...i would still feel the same way!

It's the water, the music(hopefully something decent)...but just looking out seeing the boats...it's just a great thing...maybe it's because I treasure my time off since I don't get much of it but it was especially nice last Tuesday thats' for sure.

I will say this though....there aren't many other places I would feel comfortable being at in Cape May after a flounder trip where you reak like squid strips and have smeg on your shirt I can't see the managers of Peter Shield enjoying that too much
