Handheld GPS?
Hello,
Long-time reader, first-time poster... Great site with great info. Wonder if you guys could give me some advice. I'm looking at purchasing a handheld GPS as a back up for fishing, as well as for hunting. I fish out of OC, MD as well duck hunt is some pretty remote marshes in Maryland. I have heard good things about the Garmin eTrex Legend. Any other suggestions?
Thanks is advance.

Crab mustard is good
Lowrance H20 is really nice. I don't really think the color is necessary so I'd stick with the regular H20 for about 160$.

The garmin 76csx is nice and it floats. More expensive though.

Stop staring at my Avatar.
I have a Magellen and it sure does a good job for me. I bought the cd and downloaded 19000 waypoints in the southeast, including marina's and all of the Bouy's and it has plenty of space to enter waypoints in a certain area, as I did when I went to Marathon for Christmas week. The PC cable is also a power cord that plugs in a cigar lighter. I took it on a charter out of OI N. C. and it was the same as the expensive one on the boat but that is what I expected it to do. The only thing is, it does use up the batteries if you don't use the cable Mine is several years old, like 10 or more years and have had no trouble whatsoever.

Got fish
eTrex
I have an eTrex Vista CX (colour, compass and barometer), it was the top of the eTrex line at the time but I'm not sure if it's available any more.
That said I like it very much, it's bright, clear and works well. I use mine on the boat, in the car and riding in the bush with no problems.
