had an accident today...

ok...now tell me if i was at fault,i mean really tell me if i was wrong,'cause,i just don't get it...
i was getting fuel in a customer's boat today,it was on my trailer and i was launching it...i also needed to get fuel in my truck...after i fueled the boat,i told the guy working the pumps i was gonna back up and fill my truck too-the fuel fill on my truck was opposite the boat...i looked behind the trailer-no vehicles...before i got in my truck i looked again,no vehicles...i hopped in,the drive way in the station is on a slight downward incline,the truck moved slightly forward before i began backing up...next thing i hear is a horn beeping...i stop,i see a large woman yelling frantically at me,i get out...here's a late model vw beetle,i shoved the lower unit up the hood on the beetle...this rather large woman was screaming at me like a lunatic, this friggin' witch scared me...no kidding...i imediatley called the police...i told the dispatcher about this screaming woman...well...she didn't give up...her husband finally calmed her down...he was talking to me,he told me they were both teachers-amazing what kind of people are shaping the future leaders of our country...this woman was a menace-you shoulda heard the mouth on her...
her husband admitted he pulled behind the trailer,he thought i was pulling ahead and he didn't know what to do when i began backing up...this woman thought trailers had reverse lights... the cop who showed up,a very nice guy too,was listening to this woman yelling...man what a frickin' psycho...
now tell me,was i wrong or right...the cop didn't issue me a ticket for the accident...

I backed into to someone about a year ago, and the cop and insurance co. told me that because i was moving and the other person was stationary I was at fault. Fortunatly, the woman was rather small and not yelling.

I'm guessing that somehow your gonna be responsible for her repairs. It amazes me how people drive now days- How many times do you see someone riding right up on the back of the boat while trailering down the highway?

Just like what was posted above- your gonna need eyes up your butt anymore.

Another question- where was the attendant through all of this?.....and why didn't he help guide you and stop the lady??

Unfortunately it will be considered your fault Jimmy. Same thing happened to me and I got my ass chewed by my insurance agent Thank God my boat wasn't hurt!
I hope you'll have no nightmares of the fat woman going after you man. Write it off as sexual tension!
