It's tough getting done what you need to do theses days what with how important everyone else's task is! There were probably six other fuel lanes and she's right up your butt behind you.

i was getting fuel in a customer's boat today,it was on my trailer and i was launching it...i also needed to get fuel in my truck...after i fueled the boat,i told the guy working the pumps i was gonna back up and fill my truck too-the fuel fill on my truck was opposite the boat...i looked behind the trailer-no vehicles...before i got in my truck i looked again,no vehicles...i hopped in,the drive way in the station is on a slight downward incline, the truck moved slightly forward before i began backing up...next thing i hear is a horn beeping...i stop,i see a large woman yelling frantically at me,i get out...here's a late model vw beetle,i shoved the lower unit up the hood on the beetle...this rather large woman was screaming at me like a lunatic, this friggin' witch scared me...no kidding...i imediatley called the police...i told the dispatcher about this screaming woman...well...she didn't give up...her husband finally calmed her down...he was talking to me,he told me they were both teachers-amazing what kind of people are shaping the future leaders of our country...this woman was a menace-you shoulda heard the mouth on her...
her husband admitted he pulled behind the trailer,he thought i was pulling ahead and he didn't know what to do when i began backing up...this woman thought trailers had reverse lights... the cop who showed up,a very nice guy too,was listening to this woman yelling...man what a frickin' psycho...
now tell me,was i wrong or right...the cop didn't issue me a ticket for the accident...
Jimmy!!! - now why would you run over a bettle?!?!?! i know they are the UGLIEST cars in the world but come on! ...IM JOKING...that sucks man! - well obviously the cop saw that it really was no ones fault (thank god!) and thats why he didnt issue the tickets!.....So the guy saw that you were ready to leave, and pulled behind you because he thought you were pulling ahead! ----- i hate when people assume....i also had my first road rage freak out this weekend! but - that is a whole other hot tempered thread...........

but IMO what elses could you have done, you looked both times, and didnt see anything, now i know a bug is the size of a spec compared to a ford truck+a boat+trailer but i just think the guy in the bettle didnt use good judgement. JUST WAIT UNITL MORE PEOPLE HAVE THOSE "SMART" CARS THEY ARE EVEN SMALLER THEN THE VW BUG!!!

I had one of them wip around me when i was pulling out of wawa - i didnt even see the thing he came in so fast....my truck would have smashed his car! --- Is your insurance paying for the dmadge, or are you each using your own?

it just chaps my ass...i can't remember the last accident i had,i've never had a claim against my commercial insurance-ever...it just reall pisses me off how people drive...man,driving is a contact sport
like i said, the cop who came out was completley cool,he gave me a look of disgust when this witch started flappin those big jaws...man,she made my boxer dog's jaws look small
i still can't get over the fact this psycho is a teacher that's the scary part here, that teaching our kids...man what a sad state of affairs...this country is gonna go to hell in a bucket...
we will get it worked out!

could u imagine that...a teacher!!!! ---when i was in high school the special ed teacher and myself backed in to each other.....i though it was a no brainer who would have won the argument over whose fault it was ---- but i wound up buying that lady a whole new back end!

Two years ago I was backing my truck up in a tigth parking deck. Checked multiple times and there's nobody around. Some girl comes flying down the deck and stops literally inches from my bumper. This excuse for a car is hidden from my mirrors so I continue backing. No horn (she said she yelled...like I can hear that). Tow hitch did $3,500 to her hood and it was my fault some how? She must have been doing 25 in the deck...I still don't get that one

At least she was attractive and from the sounds of it, a quarter of the size of your behemoth.

I had a very similar incident in March. I had just pulled into a parking spot in a very crowded parking lot - Lots of people milling about. I was in the spot crooked, so I backed up very slowly - This A$$Whole in a beat to $hit Ford comes whipping by about 30 and my hitch caught his bald tire and ripped it - Then he jumped my $hit - wanted $250.00 for the rim and tire - bald tire that is.

The cop never issued a ticket, but my insurance company bought a new tire and rim and gave me a bunch of grief.

Most minor accidents are caused from backing up.
I drove large trucks for many years , and was always told to avoid backing up unless there is no other option. Should always have a spotter aswell.
But hey......crap happens.....I hope the outdrive is ok. I guess you couldn't see the VW cuz your mirror was full of fat chick.

Please, PLEASE tell me it was one of the "new beetles" (beetle-wanna-be), not a classic air cooled VW. I am the proud and loving owner of a 1969 VW beetle convertible and would hate to see one of those beautiful and irreplaceable cars destroyed.
