Gyotaku Fish Prints

Just curious if anybody has tried making a Gyotaku Fish Print? I saw one on tv the other day and it looks pretty easy. What type of paint do I need and what is a good paper to use?

I have see it done with a watered down latex and acrylic paint. I also heard someone talk about using some water color but I did not see it.

Water remaining in the gills can spoil your efforts-the easy way to deal with that is to just cut the gills out altogether.

I have used acrylic paint and rice paper.

What a WASTE of a good Grouper sandwich!
Pretty pictures, but I'll take my Grouper grilled.
I like the idea of acrylic and fish slime on rice paper Mark. Just rinse and fillet.
