Just finished this one for a customer who was lucky enough to visit Casa Veija lodge in Guatemala where he said he and his wife and their friends had a blast catching these 100 plus pound sail dogs. They fished off the Release which is one of the boats in the fleet at the lodge. One day I swear I'm going down there!

OUTFRICKIN STANDING! 1961 37' Merritt #8, im pretty sure could be wrong tho..
Tim, your just saying that because you realize that there is still room to add a lure in the painting! Right?
Cool pic. But that is Guatemala.
My Bad, I was just thinking Venezuala since I was looking at pics from there also. Thanks!
Yeah...its one special place. Shulda took you down there with me last February. You'd had plenty of ideas im sure!
Pretty work Mark. I'm sure it won't be long before your commissions are paying for you to see the sights first hand.

great boat, great place. I have fished on the release quite a few times as well as some other board members on here. Raymond, john and Kayvan had a blue almost jump in the boat. knocked the mates hat off. Also put a hole in the boat and they started taking on water. the mates tony and sunter (sp) are world class pros and world class fun.
beautiful art mark
Thanks guys, I really enjoyed painting this one.
