My friend is looking for the gross tonnage of his boat for his cg paperwork, I did the formula for him length times width times depth divide by 100 multiplied by .67. But I dont want to tell him to put it down if it isn't right. Tell me if I am right on this. Length 22'4" width 8ft depth 22" cockpit depth. The gross tonnage I got was 26.41408 gross tons-This just doesn't sound right to me. I can't remember if I did that for mine or called somebody.

i thought (and Im probably wrong) that gross tonage was/is the amount of tonage the ship is capable of hauling- 2.6 tons in a 22 ft boat gives me that "sinking" feeling. LOL- maybe like .25 tons ? ( i think I put down "0").
