This Gripes my A$$

Here we are in the midst of one of the worst recessions since the depressionand we are going to send 900 million in aid to a country we did not even blow up. Why should we be sending our tax dollars to Gaza when Israel is the one who blew up their country. Why not just give that money back to us taxpayers(not the freeloaders who don't pay taxes) so we can spend it here in the US

Man I don't mean to come off hard here but I don't think you can really be making judgments on how the government is spending money, at this point. Do some research into why we are spending that money and how its being spend.

this goes to all Americans read and or listen to the news. don't call your self informed because you turned on cnn for 5 minutes this morning. as to what is happening over in Gaza. hundreds on children are being killed. don't make your self come off as the typical uninformed American. It makes me sick to be a citizen of a country that we is full of complaints and idiot comments neither of which is doing anything positive nor making a true contribution to society as a whole.

I'm sorry..but I don't agree with you..we have our own problems to deal with in our OWN country. Those poeple have been killing each other since Jesus walked..they aren't going to slow down just because we "helped".

Where is your humanity? If 600 kids were killed becuase there where trying to get to school and 2 army officers were killed. What side would you take.

I am not against helping others by any means. My point is: given the way the economy is here in the States we should be helping our own people first. If everything crashes and burns at home there will not be a USA to help these other nations. As a self employed business person I am well aware of what people are going through here. They are struggling to pay bills, keep heat in their homes, put food on the table, feed the kids, etc. etc.etc. You go to the mountains of Appalachia and see how poor miserable living conditions those people live in. Go to the inner city slums and you see the same thing. Granted there are people in each of those places who don't deserve help but there are more that would love to have a job and a warm bed to sleep in.

Since things are not good on the home front lets spend the money in America so we can get our economy strong again so we can once again help the rest of the world.

Israel takes a reactionary stance, if Mexicans and Canadians were shooting rockets into the US, and suicide bombing. Do you think we would not retaliate? Are innocent children and civilians being killed? Yeah, but it would not happen if the Arabs stopped coming after Israel? Also Hamas purposely fortifies themselves around schools and civilians using them as human shields.

As far as the money, the Obama administration probably thinks the Arabs will respect us more for giving them money.

You still didn't answer my question, Would you be for retaliation if Canada or Mexico launched rockets at us on an almost daily basis?
Also lets face reality if Israel was never established, it would just be an endless sand pit of nothing.
