Have had several trips up and down the Coastal Bend, and it would seem that the inshore fish that is being targeted the most is the Black Drum. Not known as one of the most sought after species, Red-fish or Spotted Sea Trout, but as far as table fare and a hard tug, they will be on my list as one of the fish to go after. We have been catching limits or near limits on almost every outing. They are not caught using lures, mainly live or dead bait, shrimp, crab, sea-lice. Some fly fishermen will catch them on a small crab imitation, and occasionaly on soft plastics.
