To any others thaat may somehow be swayed with our own Justice Barney Fife's theories, consider the following scenario:

Our Friend Bill Pino (who is proudly hispanic), finds himself in Phoenix. Bill goes out to a bar and leaves his wallet in his hotel room and is stopped by the local police for J walking (and being hispanic). Bill doesn't have an ID, but because he is hispanic he cannot simply pay the ticket for J walking because he is also arrested for not having an ID and is locked up under suspision of being an illeagal immigrant---- end of story.

So, now can we get back on the real topic???-- that being what you all think about this new law taking precidence over constitutional rights, even if it will help with the current problem at hand?

The new legislation doesnt say a fucking thing about having to carry ID, have you read it? Or are you just quoting the other backwoods morons down at the diner?

In case you missed it, The US Supreme Court in June of 2004 upheld a Nevada law that makes it a criminal offense for anyone suspected of wrongdoing to refuse to identify himself to police. That is what you're spouting off about right? Too bad thats not what "secure in ones papers" means. They ruled that US Citizens do not enjoy a constitutional right to refuse to reveal their identity when requested by police. So where are the SCOTUS (thats Supreme Court of The United States by the way in case you didnt know I dont want to confuse the feeble minded) cases that youre referring to that say different? Please list them and prove me wrong.
