GOP House Members Show Their True Colors and Implicate their True Masters

Recently, virtually all GOP politicians, pundits, sycophants and most certainly the Tea Party have displayed remarkable hostility towards any form of tax increases. OK, I believe in smaller and less-wasteful government too.

But this week it's become clear who their masters are when they denied an extension to the payroll tax holiday effectively raising taxes mostly on middle-class Americans. This tax hardly touches the earnings of the rich as it phases out above a certain level of income above which we find virtually all the rich in America.

So, it's become clear that the Republicans are utterly duplicitous on this issue. As long as they prevent their high-roller campaign contributors who number prominently among the filthy rich from having to pay more that's fine. But when they are called upon the lighten the tax burden or ordinary Americans (LIKE YOU AND LIKE ME) they do everything in their power to make sure that burden if deeply felt rather than relieved.

You guys defend with your votes the utterly indefensible, hypocritical and duplicious party of all time. They're solely for the rich. They're opposed to the middle-class where virtually all of you reside. And, yet, you continue to vote for them.

Zummie once said that a conservative member of the middle-class voting for Republicans is like a chicken voting for the Colonel. How true.

Wow - now you are quoting Zummie - What hard times you seem to have come into...

As usual, you only present half of the story... What about the Senate - who passed a lame 2 month extension then went on vacation without consideration of the House?

Either way it will affect my wallet... There is not a single incumbent in either the House or Senate that can claim to have gotten my vote - That will by no means change next time around.

Pretty Short "Holiday Leave" There LongFisher,

How about this for some Christmas cheer. You have labeled me a "right wing nut" republican so many time's, I care not to even count. The fact is I'm a registered Democrat and I am 100% for the middle class guy. I have no wealth, other than my wife and my health which allow's me to work every day. Look's like I'd better keep my health, cause retirement isn't in my future.

What we have here is simply this, "whoever" is supposed to be on watch, has put her on auto-pilot and is down below sleeping. It doesn't matter where the next Captain for this Country come's from, I just scincerely hope he's on his way! I hear folk's talk about, "if this guy is re-elected" this Country is ruined for sure. I am one of those guy's that doesn't buy it for a minute. I firmly believe that the strong, faithful, middle class guy that is so quickly over looked around here, can and will over come any obsticle.

We just simply need a firm hand behind the wheel. This "politic's game is getting really, really old. Not to mention that we're the one's not benifiting from it, they are! If we have to vote everyone out to get our point across, then I suggest we start practicing what we preach and put their butt's out of office. Frank

I kinda think the Republicans got sick and tired of nickel and dime compromises with Obama and having to dodge kicks to the nads when it got to crunch time. They got their clocks cleaned on the debt ceiling deal, and they ain't gonna let it happen here. It's time for 'big deal' or 'no deal', this chicken schitt 2 month stuff just gives the dimocrats another chance to drag it out for maximum damage as election season gears up. It's time tor go big or go home, looks like the dims sure didn't have the balls to go big. Fucck 'em, let the realists decide in November ...

It Must Be Really Hard For Dims To Think They're Always Right, But Rarely Are!

    Frank,

I will still talk to you......I used to be registered Democrat but changed when Obama sent me something wanting money. Decided then it was time to go to unaffiliated since I voter person and not party. Oh and Avenger my guess the reason Frank is registered Democrat is because when we got old enough to vote we did not have many Republicans running in NC and if you wanted to vote you registered Democrat. Now that we have all the Yankees moving here we have more republicans running for office.

    Robja,

The last part of your post is very true. I remember, back then everyone was a Dem. Regardless of what it meant. Matter of fact if you applied for a "State" job, they would ask you what party you belonged to. If you said Rep, you would never hear from them again. That's as best as I remember it. Frank

Frank - Somehow I always pictured you as more of a donkey than an elephant.

Shame you can't post pictures to dispel that...
