    Goo on my Ensinglass

Well I haven't used my rear curtain in about 2 yrs. This week I broke it out to hang and noticed it was filthy! to say the least, I keep it hanging in my garage so not to fold or roll it.Today I saw a break in the weather ( 70's ) so I figured I was my Trophy. All I use is a boat wash, but It didn't even begin to clean the E. glass, it's all greasy, sticky, and soap is not gonna was it off. Any ideas what to use that's not gonna ruin it?

I use 210 to clean Eisenglass, it works really good. It will not harm it...it comes in a spray and a polish liquid.

did you ever notice that it smells like lemon pledge. 10 to $12per can, but I guess that we spend so much for the clear plastic that I wouldn't risk it.

you might want to try simple green. just spray in on the dry curtain , then hose it off and dry it with soft bounty paper towels so as not to scratch it.

They smell similar but there is a build up using Pledge. 210 is the right stuff and here is a link:

My friends that have Eisenglas always roll it up with a piece of terricloth material to keep it from touching itself.

Not on my current boat (spent too much on the strata glass)

detailers have also told me about pledge on the enclosures.

I dont know if anyone has used it, but there is special polish that is used on the plastic windshields on airplanes - gets the bugs off and keeps them clean for a long time.

they also told me that some guys wipe wd-40 on tower legs and riggers to make them look good (although it washes off fast).

As a yacht detailer, I do not use anything on my customers boats other then what is spesificly marketed for boat or aircraft finishes. I Have seen and have had to correct mistakes that other detailers have made using products that were not tested for certain finishes.
