    GOLFWEEK MAGAZINE...PUSHIN THE ENVELOPE

    or just reporting the News???

Below is a covershot of this week's cover. First of all, I found the comments by Kelly Tillman nothing more than a harmless comment but something at allows the media types to pounce on to try and get a rise out of racial debate. Does the word "Lynch" refer to only black people in America?

Now, as for the cover... I find it in poor taste and nothing more than a continued attempt to stir the racial pot. I cancelled my subscription because of it. No need for it. If I want racial BS, I'll listen to Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson; not a golf weekly reporting the news of the industry.

For those of you who has heard the commets made on air and the resulting shitstorm, what's your take?

    I agree. Tasteless and pointless.

    Stir the Pot

The comments were not made in any way to be deflamatory, Tiger even said no offense was taken. Golf Channel made the issue bigger by suspending her. Sharpton and Jackson are only stirring the racial pot by making a bigger deal out of it. The cover just proves the point even more. If anything they (the media) are doing this for ratings to bring back viewers...

its Golfweek not Newsweek! I think the media will waste more of their time reporting on this or Britney Spears ass hanging out of her pants while buying a pregnancy kit, than more useful news!

The lynch comment was blown way out of proportion.

The double standard it upsetting though. A black state delegate from Chesapeake Va, classified a group of individuals as "rednecks" in a press conference about a law he is trying to pass.

Where is the public outcry about him using a derogatory or even racial remark?

It's ashame that most people in this conutry have lost there sense of humor.

I agree to an extent. when i saw the tape, i honestly think she didn't mean anything racial by it. She just said something thats kind of a common phrase but didn't realize what she was saying.
