We had this discussion last winter, I believe.

Oh, well. There's always a new rube checking in on SFM.com, I guess.

Here's the short version, Jaws.

1) Climate is different from weather. So, the cold weather snap we're experiencing doesn't mean the earth is not getting warmer. It is. Demonstrably so. But the CLIMATE is getting warmer all over as an average.

2) Localized cold and warm extremes are predicted by global warming theory. In fact, were we not seeing these things in the great abundance we are currently seeing them it would argue against global warming theory.

3) According to a University of Maryland study, viewers of FOX news are the least well-informed viewers than a) all viewers of news cable and broadcast on average and b) least informed of all other cable news viewers.

I guess that pretty well sums it up.

LF, there was a global summit I heard about(can't recall where it was) where these mad scientists showed that for the last 20 years the earth's overall temperature has dropped and not increased.
This global warming myth is nothing more than a way for scientists, gadget developers, and greeners to promote their agenda for getting government grants. Just a scam to keep the finances rolling in.

Maybe we should start a new "Global Browning" movement to show we need to get research grants to be able to prove that cities full of concrete promote unhealthy states of browning of the "fruit of the looms". Al Gore can say he invented the Browning movement.

Global warming is a farce! IMO
