Global Warming

Just wonder what your thoughts are! Proven fact that the oceans are getting warmer. Do you think that it is affecting fish migrations? Or is it just a cycle?

It's all cycles do some research 60 years ago everyone was worried about global cooling.

Lionfish discovered in Long Island Sound... giant squid farther up the CA coast than ever...barraccuda off Maryland...Nah, nothing to it.

Their is defently something goin on. Being GW, or some sort of heat cycle.

One thing for sure, these people can't even tell me what the weather will do in 24-72 hours but can predict 5 - 150years out on this.

I have read a bunch on this and finrrazr is legit in saying that. Also we have contributed to the global warming. Example: In my family room the pellet stove has the temp @ 84 degrees right now, with an outside temp near 30 degrees. I am guilty of global warming today. The cost was 3.85 @ 24 hours to reach that temp. Tomorrow I will cut back to 83 degrees and see if I can survive in that temp. I will continue to lower the temp in the room gradually until I can't stand it NO more. That might take awhile. I have a ton and a half of pellets left.

Yes...the globle is in a "Warming" cycle... It has been for a number of years, long before the idiot AlGore rang the panic bell for all his followers.

Study the global cycles of Warming and Cooling periods and you'll learn that we are on the doorstep to a Cooling Cycle and the "peak" of the Warming Cycle is over. This same Cycling of conditions has happened since....since... Hell, forever, nothing new other than some idiot being the first to use mass communications to inform the masses that are not smart enough to go learn something on their own. (Cavemen didn't have CNN to help spread the word about the Ice Age).

Bring it on I'm sick of cold winters. I am personally going to go out and buy a 1970 POS. I'll start it and let it run in the driveway all day every day. Then I will also burn my fireplace, smoke 30 cigars a day, get a big ole diesel sucking 190 GPH sportfisher, turn my heat up in the winter to 95 and AC in the summer down to 65, buy a G5 to get me wherever I need to go, get 2 hummer limos to take me there and back, and whatever else I can do to expand my carbon footprint.

As for odd ball catches. Over thirty years ago they were catching atrpon on the Shrewsbury rocks , spanish macks on the sea bright beach and even a sailfish at the BA buoy off Sandy hook one summer. Other years we had small cudas mixed with the snapper blues in the Shrewsbury river alson in north Jersey.
Weakfish are classics almost disappearing some years then cycling back to absurd numbers.
Yes I have seen changes in recent years for example the speed of the gulfstream is generally faster (peaking two years ago off here). I still see the same high water marks on the bulk heads of home that were there 40 years ago though.
A single vocano eruption dumps ten times as much crap into the tmosphere as man has through history. I think it pretty arrogant to think we have more impact on earth than earth herself...

That is my point exactly. How in the world can the simple act of humans burning something cause the earth to heat up? Sorry you didn't see my sarcasm. I think that global warming is the bigest load of BS ever unloaded on the public. It gets hot it gets cold. Some years are great fishing some are sh**. Everything is cyclical. If you could figure out the cycle you would be a freaking genious. I think that is the best part of life. Trying to figure it out. I don't know everything and I certainly don't belive 90% of what anyone tells me. But it is fun trying to figure it out!

It is fact that we just got over The Little Ice Age, it ended in the 1850's.
That wasn't very long ago and yes we should be warming after a ice age.
I'm no scientist and neither is Al Gore .
