    Bavaria highlights

    Oberamagau of Passion Play fame is a very picturesque village as is Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Both are south of Munich.

    Highly recommend the Andechs Monastery where they brew their own beer and serve very hearty meals. Southwest of Munich and close to other attractions.
