Fuel Prices and Obama's free pass

Just fueled up the diesel truck, $4.03 per gallon. And that's with people using a lot less these days to heat their house.

In a year or so this will probably seem like the good old days.

I remember people blaming Bush for fuel costs when they spiked up in July of 08. But if memory serves they dropped significantly in the beginning of 09.

Where's the outrage now over this steady increase of the cost of fuel. What's next fuel rationing? Obama's one more day closer to being Jimmy Carter, except that Obama likes to bomb "the right people".

In just 9 months gas prices have gone up over $1.00 per gallon.

    Where's the outrage?

...the main stream media is busy getting ready for 2012 and covering the dems fear mongering over the "government shutdown" like it's armageddeon......in their spare time they still have time to throw in a snippet of fear and misinformation over the Japanese nukes..... BTW.....diesel is up to $4.29 on the road in my neck of the woods....

Meanwhile.....let's not open up any drilling for fear of damaging the Alaskan piss ant......

    Fuel Prices

I think you will see a drastic rise in demand for smaller, single-diesel boats in the very near future..

    fuel

If he opens up the drilling prices will drop. Bush did it in July 2008 when gas was over $4 in July ofthat year. By Christmas of that year it was well below $2. This guy is to busy campaigning to wory about any of the real problems we've got. What a joke he and these liberal jackasses are. Environmentalists yeah right

    Huh?

I'm no lover of bama, but unfortunately, he has nothing to do with the current fuel prices, you can thank the speculators for this mess. And even if every one of the offshore sites were permitted, inshore shale ect..that oil wouldn't hit the refinery's for 6-10 years, and wouldn't do squat to current prices. At best theres 2 billion barrels of oil on U.S property..that will run our demand for 2.5 years..

    Marine,

Just the "real" threat of other sources of oil will drop the price. In your business it's about "estimate's", someone else come's in at a lower bid, you start re-thinking your's. Not sayin' that your estimate is wrong, because you know your work, but it makes you nervous just the same. I think a few public execution's (by the public) of some speculator's oughta help, just a bit! Frank

that oil wouldn't hit the refinery's for 6-10 years,

Well, wonder what would be happening now if we'd started 6-10 years ago? Wonder what it would be like 6-10 years from now if we get started now? Wonder what it will be like if we don't!

Seems the Gub'ment disagrees with your assessment of oil reserves, too (Wickipedia):

Proven oil reserves in the United States are 21 billion barrels, excluding the Strategic Petroleum Reserve [725 million bbls]. The U.S. Department of the Interior estimates the total volume of undiscovered, technically recoverable prospective resources in all areas of the United States, including the Federal Outer Continental Shelf, the 1002 area of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, the National Petroleum Reserve–Alaska, and the Bakken Formation, total 134 billion barrels of crude oil. This excludes oil shale reserves, as there is no significant commercial production of oil from oil shale in the United States.

I stand corrected,i placed the decimal in the wrong place...even if drilling started tomorrow..it'll be years before it made it to the refinery's,and that's IF sierra club and all the other conservationists didn't stop it beforehand. The same idiots who are the driving force behind fishery closures...appreciate the correction Capt.
