    Frozen trailer jack

The jack on my little utility trailer has frozen up. I thought ohh well I'll just replace it, but can't get the old off.

Any thoughts. If I undo the bolts and lift up, the little foot won't go through the round hole.

First have you taken a can of wd 40 and found a little area around the top crank ?
    PUMP IT IN.
Get under and try to push straw up in should be a grove and pump it in.
I have gotten them working again. Unless your gear broke.

Well, I took the handle off and tapped the little rod stickup up out of it and the whole assembly dropped out. Its a screw type jack. I knew it had to come apart somehow for them to get it in place. Now I have full access to the screw to lube it up, but am still going for a replacement first. If I had known I could have properly lubed it when it was new and it would still be working.

I think there is a little screw right there at the top, and the cap pops off, just lube it up, no sense getting a new one that will end up the same way in a couple years..
