    FOUL WEATHER GEAR

I'm looking to purchase some good gear that's warm and waterproof. Needs to be real flexible, too. Don't really like the Grundens stuff.............

I saw some lighter weight Grundens at a dealer last week they looked nice not sure on the breathability

Bought some Fishworks gear last year and it worked well

I like the Frogg Toggs and you buy one size larger than normal and wear them over your warm cloths. They will not take the abuse that normal heavy rainwear takes but they are waterproof and very light.

Knot, I've run a gamet on foul weather gear:
    Here's what I learned:
Gore tex ( and now the patent has expired other brands), keep the water out only if it says: "Guaranteed to Keep you Dry". Very important as all gore tex products don't say that.
Gore Tex is for Golfers and Freshwater Bass fishermen. The rainear with the Corduba (sp?) shell is like cardboard and heavy when wet. If you go with Gore tex I recommend the rip stop nylon shell.
However, fabrics around fish don't mix--- yea you can wash them but still a PIA
I'm a Grundens lightweight fan myself. just hose down your slicker and bibs when they get funky.
