What he said......to the 2nd power
It must have been good huh?or really bad?
I whole heartedly agree! I had a rather interesting PM conversation with another member (who will remain nameless)on here last week because of my stance and post on this issue. Seems to me that some are more interested in just "numbers", you know "quantity". I on the other hand believe that "quality" will bring this site more value any day. I realize that in it's simplest form this site is a business, that requires other business owners to put up the cash for advertisement to exsist. I'm a business owner myself, (a small one) but one that has survived the recent economic down turn quite well. Doesn't make me a rocket scientist, but it does make me a little smarter than the average bear. If while looking for "said" service (I'm not big enough for this service, but support this site with free advice in my profession) and came across trash such as this, I'd simply move on, nothing said. I really can't understand anyone who has even an ounce of moral fiber in their being not understanding this simple concept. But hey, I could be way out in space on this one I dunno. But I kinda like it where I'm at! Frank
A lesson in business 101 -
A web site with lots of hits, traffic, posts, views, responses , = more people, therefore more potential customers or accounts.
A more boring site = less people etc etc = less of above.......
I as a business owner as well would place advertisments in a place I know has lots of traffic, regardless of of the type of traffic. Numbers equal dollars, one way or another.
Why do you think you dont see billboards on one way streets or dead end streets ????? Highways !!!!!!! tons of traffic, Ferrari's, Porche's, Lamborghini's and even those hoopty cars.
Highways are jammed with ALL MAKES AND MODELS.
We cant all be serious all of the time that would be like to much like church.
Tide.

Ok Low, here is the flip of the coin, I use to advertise on another site closer to home aimed more toward NC. They also have a forum that I was on.
The thing was/ is that there are a couple of guys that want to argue with one all the time, only their view is the right view. They make it miserable to post on that forum, for me any way, so I no longer advertise with them. I don't care how much traffic has, if I'm not happy there, I leave and will not spend my money with them.
There is good traffic and there is bad traffic, I for one would like to see less good traffic with happy people than lots of traffic with unhappy people. Unhappy people do not spend dollars, happy people do...my 2 cents
I understand what you're saying, it's the "herd" mentality that US business's have, anything for a buck. I on the other hand don't follow the herd. If your an ass, I don't want your money! Pretty simple concept, sorta like me simple. Life for me is way to short to be dealing with folks I don't like. I don't take "just anyone" on as a customer. If I persoanlly don't like you, we'll not be doing business. I know that sounds like a recipe for disaster but so far it hasn't for me. I feel like if we don't see eye to eye in the beginning, at some point it's gonna get alot worse. I'm just not willing to spend my days like that, money or not. Guess thats why I don't work for "cooperate" America. Nothing said here is on a personal level, just my school of thought, or lack there of. Something else I've learned along the way, the loud mouth, wanna be, jerks can't be taken seriously. The level headed folks on the other hand make very good customers. Frank

He sells cat, you can sell cummins. If he doesnt like you he wont talk to you either. In Weber world this is perfectly acceptable behavior. I just wish I could act like this in my endouvars. Boy, I envy you and Wrigley. I only wish I could be cranky everyday and throw out people I cant stand......Come to think of it, I think ernie utsch has the same personality from what I hear.......Well to tell you the truth almost all of the business owners in Cape May think this way. Except Keith Lauderman....hardest working guy I ever met and probably the most successful guy in all of Cape May. It must be lonely at the top. Now, for the record let me get this right.........peace and harmony are your trademarks, cant we just all get along is your philosophy, BUT....If you decide you dont like him, for whatever reason, well you reserve the right to what? Tell him to pack his motor in a box and get lost? I think thats just great. From what I also hear wayne at jersey cape bends over backwards to make people want to do business with him. I think I like your approach however. Wrigley has a couple dobermans, they live on the first floor, he says hes married but like norm on cheers no one has ever seen her so I think he has a room for you. If you do come to cape may I would like to put in a caterpillar on one side and a cummins on the other......sort of see who wins the ""Growl"" if you know what I mean. Best thread response ever for a guy in business. Makes sense to me. I need to change my ways, this seems like a good start.
