    Thanks for the welcome.

I am based on the Gold Coast about an hour South of Brisbane. I am living on the water in the Canals at Runaway Bay. From my dock to fishable Marlin water is about 9 minutes ! Its sensational. When we get the run of small blacks around Xmas, we can catch a dozen marlin before lunch in a really hot bite............ and thats all on LURES too

Out wider on the Shelf we have some magnificent Blue Marlin to be caught and the biggest we've had boatside is around 850lb's. I saw one once sitting Behind a Lumo Sprocket that was well over the 1000lb mark, but the bugger just would not eat !

We are still yet to see a Blue Marlin go over 1000lb here in Australia. There have been a few tagged, and another was around 10lb short of the mark, but no ones weighed one yet. We keep saying... THIS YEAR... THIS YEAR... but who knows ? of course we have plenty of Blacks that go over the magic Ton, but they are big fat females there to breed and eat. The Blues just go that much harder !

DOGTOOTH - we don't have them locally, but I've been smoked by many even on 80lb chair tackle on the outer barrier reef (200 NM from Shore) at a place called Saumarez reef.... thats prehistoric fishing out there.

I'll keep the vids coming as and when I make some more. I have a heap in the can, but with the tackle business just dont seem to get time to edit them... and enjoy the fishing.

Thanks for the welcome fellas... I am here to learn and to help where I can.

    Cheers

    Wayne
