Ford or Chevrolet? Help
Ok I am in the market for a used 2007-2009 f-150 0r 1500 4wd. I have never owned a Ford truck but I am thinking of something different. lets hear the good the bad & the ugly on both of these.
Thanks,
Shane

Rode hard and put away wet
For Me it would be a Ford with the Lariat interior. You should also look at the Lincoln MarkLT. They are really sweet!

BANNED CAMP - TIME OUT - HUBRIS SUCKS
I havent had a Ford for 20 years,
I now have a GMC 2006 2500. My next truck is a Ford F250 Super Duty lariat crew cab. If you sit in that truck nothing else compares. They say, when you lose a buyer, he is gone for 20 years.......Im going back. GMC and Chevy have made their truck as ugly as it can get..........Period.
I will say the GMC is the best truck I have ever owned, but Ford has gone past their design in leaps and bounds. Chevy.....lost me at hello. Its like jello.

Ford...F250 diesel..here Shane..happy as ballyhoo on the long rigger..it's an 01' .. 7.3 not a single problem other than minor minimal things and a couple recalls. Ford's paint is superior to GM anyday and the built ford tough is on the mark ...my experience anyways.

Ford. When it comes to full size trucks, nothing compares. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like sitting in a Ford is like sitting in a huge room while other full size truck just don't have that "cavernous" feel to the interior (and I'm no small potato either)... and with the crew cab, put anyone in the rear seat and I promise they will comment on the room. Lets not forget the interiors on the new trucks... LIGHT YEARS ahead of GM or Dodge.

to me Ford's have always looked worse than GM's, but have been tougher. GM's also ride better I think.
So are you going to be putting it through the ringer or just using mostly a highway driver?

I have 2 Fords, F150 truck, has over 170,000 miles. 1 water pump and alternator, that is it. The other is a 99 Excursion. Over 240,000 miles and 1 fuel pump and a couple of minor things. I'll stick with Ford...

Toyota Titan, WHAT !!!! here's why...ford & GM have both gotten slack when it comes to quality..design doesn't last 200K, build does, parts have gotten cheaper and cheaper, stuff doesn't last..i run ford trucks and vans for company fleet..my drive truck is a GMC Yukon Denali,my wife wanted, and got, a Pontiac torrent..everything that's gone wrong with any of these vehicles has been some cheap part,a part, that for another 50 cents might of been made better..lasted longer , the price of American cars has gotten stupid, that's due to the unions,so instead of building a great car or truck for a decent price..they cost alot and fail early. Test out a Toyota for a week, dam thing is tight, strong and well made..I hate to say buy anything else but American..but nowadays more American brands are made overseas, and Toyota is made here..go figure.

Thanks for the input. This will be just a daily driver. I have always had GMs but I like the looks of the Fords. It will be hard to make the change.

Got fish
If you head up to the 3/4 market, stay away from the ford 6.0. Nothing but issues. However, if you can find the 7.3, you won't find a better truck, IMO.
Good luck!
