Ford, but I am a little biased, was a Ford Tech for six years. Shoot me a PM with model and engine it has in it if you consider a Ford, and I'll give you my opinion on it if you want......

Stay away from the 6.0 litre powerstroke! I just traded My 03 F-250 Lariat and it was the happiest day of My life! I have had diesel trucks since 1991 (1-Chevy) and 4-7.3 powerstroke Fords after that, all good. Then the 6.0....arrrgh. Now driving a 2008 Lincoln Mark LT and am loving it!

I dont think Ill get the diesel. A, I dont need the thing and B, its never anything but problems. Whats with the additive? Makes me nervous. These diesel engines are supposed to last forever, and all they do is break. Just like a boat. Unless you need the torque and power, it seems a waste to me. Down the road no one ever seems happy they got it. And forget about putting chips in it. Too much power, too small a block. Same old story.
