    Post Fly Rod Holder

    Hello everyone,
Im fairly new on here and wanted some help. Im looking to buy a single fly rod holder for my boat. Im looking perferably for one that doesnt screw into the deck/hull etc. I've seen a few online but im kinda cautious about the whole suction type ones. Thats all I need is for my pride and joy to hit the deck after a few wakes and the cups come loose (like they are known to do). I've also seen one at www.seasucker.com , it looks legit, but I'd rather not pay $70+ for some plastic and a vaccume cup...not worth it...and I've thought about making one, but then it goes back to the suction cups...any suggestions?

To be honest the sea sucker really is a nice product I have one sitting right here next to me on my desk. They used to advertise here last year. Hands down though a nice product!

Seasuckers won't let your pride and joy hit the deck...that is what you are paying 70 bones for.

If you find something better, please let us know.

    Here is another option:

    http://www.iflyrodholders.com/

I've got a few of them on the boat and they are great. I haven't used the suction cup version, but at a fly show a few weeks ago they had a display where you could try and rip it off a sheet of plexiglass, and nobody could do it. The trick is to put it on dry as it is a silicone based suction cup. Not sure what the heck that means, but they kept repeating "put it on dry"
