what do you guys have for connection?
some connections work better then others. \such as comcast cable internet slows down when school is out due to heavy traffic from the kids, rcn(which I have) isnt used much by people so its fast. dsl and phone lines are the same way. the more people using them the slower the pc or laptop is going to be. you can go to msn to update your media player but that wont do anything for the movies because they are on their own player.
also try clearing out your cach (sp) go into internet tools and get rid of all offline files and cookies. defrag you harddrive while your at it.

That happens with me a few times with our videos and youtube videos also. I click the pause button and wait for the video to load then I click the play button again to watch it

-bluewater, I pretty sure my connection has nothing to do with the problems I'm having. It seems to be a site specific as I've not had any problems viewing or uploading vids on any other site, youtube, etc.

-jer, does the speed at which a vid is uploaded affect the speed it downloads/buffers? the pause thing works but some users vids buffer faster than they play so don't have to all the time, but I still can't upload any vids.

Thats the bad part of the new Flash Player videos...you can't make it full screen.Thats what I hated about Quick Time. I feel your pain with the ageing eyes.

from what I understand you can not change the aspect ratio of the flash player by altering the aspect ratio of the encoded file.. The player is fixed in case a person uploaded a vid with an outrageous aspect ratio of some large size. I personally think this is a very good design and safety measure for streaming vid to many people at the same instance. Tolmaz I am uploading a copy of the marlin vid in the same thread as the first marlin vid. The difference in the 2 is encoding properties and size of the file. If you get a chance, play both and let me know which one plays the best. The second file is smaller and encoded differently than the first........thanks flat
