    Fishing without outriggers

I am adding a T-top to a 21 CC and having Kingfish rodholders added to the sides of the top. Never fished with them, do you still need the outriggers?

    NEED the outriggers? Yes!

Can you get by without them? Yes!

Outriggers are handy and help to improve your spread, but many people fish without them every day...in green water and blue water.

all depends on how many rods you want to fish at the same time. I say get them... for all the money you have put into the boat/rods/fuel/bait etc, spend the money on riggers to have a complete machine. my 2 cents

    They are worth the money,

But you can still fish a 6 rods with no problem without them on a calm day...

Spend the money to put them on. We run our long lines on them and on rough days it keeps the lines up and out from the other rods so we don't end up with a mess. Oh, and Welcome to SFC

Robja is right along with the others... not necessarily the most important thing but i sure do miss them when i run my small CC... I got th holders for my top guns but continue to refrain from putting the darn poles in.

If you have the capabilitys to get them get them.. if not the outrodders work pretty well too! just make sure you have leashes on your reels and set a light drag so you can get them out of the holder!!
    good luck man!

YOUR GOING TO DO JUST FINE WITH OR WITHOUT THEM!

If you do get them installed make sure you have the proper backing plates installed and they are welded in if needed. Make sure all wires are out of the tubes before welding no matter thier location they will get melted.

If you've got room and they won't be in the way on a 21 footer, do it. You've just made you're boat way more fishable. Being flexible is the difference between catching fish or not!! You are going out to catch fish, right? A 21 foot boat can be all you need if it's rigged right. Biggest question in my mind is it enough boat for where you intend to fish? Let's get started already.

We used our t-top holders on the 23 and still do the same on the new boat - which has outriggers. You won't see our outriggers used while fishing for Kings though - that's just us.
