    Fishing Plier Sheath

Some of you might remember I was asked to see if I could copy a favorite pair of fishing Plier and tool Sheath in this thread

    Custom Knife and Sheath #4

...also asked to add another space for scissors...I think it came out pretty good..molded to fit each tool so they stay in place and weather proofed the leather, natural oil finish so that the color doesn't run when wet...should last a few seasons..

Seriously would be happy to make them for a few of you...but you have to ship your pliers, knife or tools (or a mix) you want shaped in the leather.. sheath Leather will run me about $30 to make these and some shipping about $10. More than I charged Capt. Buffington but he took the first shot and I had the leather from a matching machete and revolver set I started..

If you guys are down, PM me...buffington's set is already shipped out.

I think its a moral imperative to have easy access to some sort of cutting device while out there...no time to look around for line cutter/knife when you have a guy with 3 wraps of 80# around his ankles...seen it before...not saying you need a pretty and well built leather sheath , but at minimum get yourself a nylon pouch and put a sharp cutter in it.....I was on a charter in Costa Rica and the Capt. ripped into the mate for not having his tools with him for a release...I think that it might be a common thing amongst us that care about this sport or trade.....Sharp knives, cared for tools and boats, and properly maintained tackle...it makes the diff beyond safety and hook up ratios..I might be 40# overweight and smoke, but my gear is cleaned and oiled.....

....or a lobsterman that happens to get a line around his ankle when settin' out...you don't want to be out there without them......there's a few boats that turn up every year, going in circles with nobody on board.....the guys are down Davey Jones Locker having a beer.......
