fishing out of marathon MARCH 5TH

Going down to fish out of Marathon, Fl for a day on March 5th. Should the wife and I go off shore; which we'd really like to do, or would it be too hard this time of year to get any decent action and ......... we should really fish reefs or wrecks or.....? First time in the area and we will have a guide for 3/4 day. What could we catch off shore?

As for your fishing there, let the weather be you first guide. Sails would be my first choice but I would love to harass some Snook and Red Drum...

Welcome aboard. As Capt Lee says - let the weather dictate. This is a good time for sails and should be some mahi around. Inshore offers a lot of choices if the wind is blowing

buddy of mine has a house,key colony beach-vaca cut...go see jack carlson@big time bait and tackle...this guy will take care of you...ocean side,right over the vaca cut bridge...
