Just hang out with the kids, that will be just as much fun.

i would do it with the kids. its a side trip they offer.
I have done several of the cruise fishing side trips and for the most part, they are a huge disappointment if you are looking for a trophy catch. My only exception was a Disney Cruise side trip that I took a few years ago in the Bahamas when we hooked several and I landed my first Cabera snapper. Again, that was the exception. If the tackle had been up to the task, it would had been a great day! (But in the Bahamas, isn't every day a pretty good day?)
My advice is that, if you have never fished in tropical waters and would like to add some new speces (albiet small ones for the most part) to your lifetime catch list, it may be worth going. Be prepared to be on a boat with people from Bumfuk, USA, who don't know which end of a rod and reel to hold and are likely to get seasick.
But if you are looking for a serious fishig trip, you are likely to be disappointed.
