I would like to hear more about cat island first hand. If you get a chance post those pic thanks
Cat in May and June is awesome for Blue Marlin fishin, if you get the chance make the trip it is worth it!! We fished there for 4-5 years in the mid 90s, the Wahoo bite can also be damn good as well, but they are biting really strong before then. You need to book well ahead of time they have 28 rooms at Hawks Nest , they have the Blue tournament in May and they are usually booked 1 year in advance, I tried to get in there the last 3 years and couldn't get rooms or a slip in May or June. The mahi are so thick there you will be forced you to bait and switch, they are all 30-40 lbs. minimum. The sharks will be chasin them to the boat all day long. We were gettin at least 4-10 shots a day on Blue's back then, most fish in the 300-400 range. We fished Columbus Point most of the time and it's not to far to San Salvador from there, that's another good option if you go down there! Are you taking a boat of trying to charter one? Good Luck and keep us posted. I Love that Place!!!
Cat is a great place with great fishing. Stay at Hawks Nest and request the Point House if you can get it. There is very good pelagic fishing and the deep dropping is very good too. From Cat you can venture to San Sal, Rum Cay or Georgetown on Exuma.
