Position/Fish Biologist (Assistant Project Leader), Central NE Fishery Resources Office, Nashua-New Hampshire

This position is advertised as the Assistant Project Leader at the Central New England Fishery Resources Office (CNEFRO), Nashua, NH in Region 5 of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. CNEFRO is one of seven organizational units within the Eastern New England Complex. The Asst. PL assists in all phases of fish and aquatic habitat management and restoration activity conducted by the CNEFRO and other units, and supervises biologists, technicians and volunteers involved in scientific work associated with diadromous, coastal, and interjuristdictional fish and aquatic habitat resource management and restoration in Eastern New England watersheds. The Asst. PL will also supervise personnel involved with fish and wildlife management assistance on federal lands, and those involved with database management and models. The Asst. PL will be involved in strategic planning, developing partnerships, administering budgets, and working with non-government organizations to obtain funds or other resources to complement Service partnerships and programs; in reporting agency and Fisheries Program activities; and in oversight of CNEFRO outreach and education programs. The geographic area of responsibility includes the States of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and portions of New York.
